She is a mess but being allergic to dry ice is possible. You can't compare the amount we have running through our veins to what dry ice contains when sublimates.

And on a more extreme note, you can die from breathing CO2 (I don't recommed to breath what comes out from a car exhausting pipe, which is mainly CO2 )

This, there are people allergic to water too.

But yes, it's not surprising that her body got a bad reaction, CO2 is toxic for us.
