To be fair as generic as it is, it's more digestable for the GP and much catchier than HMH.

HMH lacks a hook, which Shallow had.

Any song in relation to a Gaga song is put up into a competition by the fans. Dates back to her debut and it will continue to be the case - much like for any fanbase, unfortunately.

I’m really pulling for the success of both Hold My Hand and I Ain’t Worried, both are great in different ways. I’d be stoked for OneRepublic to gain another radio hit with this one.

Yeah the “competition” thing is stupid. Take my Breath Away and Danger Zone were both successful songs from the original Top Gun and together really helped cohesively make the entire soundtrack a success
