this would be amazing regardless but during pandemic times when movie sales have been down significantly … this is bananas.

 

(and before this turns into a HMH bashing thread, remember the last spotify update closed at midnight UK friday night which means it didn’t even really account for streams resulting from friday night showings in the US. the song currently sits at #5 and #11 on US itunes, and we will know far more about the of course more important streaming numbers soon. but regardless, all exposure is good for the song. let’s just celebrate that until we know more. i heard more than one person around me start crying at the “…till the end” line.)

i hadn’t seen the first one either, but you’ll get most of it. at first i was like oh i’m really not going to enjoy this, but suddenly i was so invested lol. it’s just a really, really, really well done action movie (that isn’t a superhero movie for once…as much as i love a lot of those). the romance part is more of the b plot or maybe even c plot. 

there is a VERY hot beach scene let me tell you…and eye candy throughout tbh

I just went to see it with my boyfriend who loves the first film and I’ve never watched it. I was really impressed and I actually enjoyed the film, the third act was really intense and so entertaining.

Inwatched the first one right before seeing it yesterday. The new top gun is my fave movie of the year so far. It was soooo good. The action sequences are flawless, the music is amazing 10/10 movie for me. although incould have done without the love story

i knew there had to be some sort of homoerotic scene to pay homage to the one in the first movie. at first i was worried it was this bar scene which is only slightly homoerotic. but then we got to the beach scene and my word. 12 year old me would be pausing tf out of that scene on an ipod touch let me tell ya

This one is definitely not boring, i really recommend it to be watched in the biggest cinema out there with great audio. The fact that most of the flight scenes are real...you will feel the intensity as pilots, like you are riding with them. I felt the story pacing was fast actually, but just right (not the case with House of Gucci). I reeeaaallly was not expecting to enjoy it so much. And i went to see the film alone...just to hear the film scoring and HMH ofcourse. 

I'd say the best military-related film i've watched in a long while...maybe ever
