Concertaholic 5,856
To me this means her album didn’t do enough numbers for them to renew her contract, right? Her album numbers are way down but her tour still sold really well so I hope someone picks her up just so she can continue touring in the future
COOOK 76,406
With three consecutive albums going downhill this was bound to happen... I hope this move benefits her, I wish her nothing but success
Phaye Monster 8,738
Good for her. I had a feeling this was coming after her last tweet, and I think being independent would really suit her. She doesn’t care for huge numbers or chart hits, and she’s an incredible musician by herself, so I personally don’t think she needs a label anymore. I'm an ARTPOP bitch, baby

If they were going to drop her, they would've done it years ago.

GRIMEZSZ 3,305
Tove Lo, Charli and Marina being now independent totally make sense to me, and i truly believe that it’s going to be so much better for theirs after all they are our alt girls and don’t need a big label, they have the audience and the fans. Hope Lana joins soon this patern and Sky Ferreira too. Grimes it’s already boring with her contract.
Butters Stotch 5,364
This makes me so happy. Somehow I feel like she is gonna enjoy making music more just by being independent. Also, I'm glad I got to see her at Lollapalooza in Buenos Aires, because maybe it's gonna be little bit harder to tour the world now that she is independent...? I think Marina or Charli will not have problems with getting pick for festivals or touring alone bc they’re now established artists, so they have her own agents and stuff, for example Björk is independent since ages and this year shes headliner for primavera sound also she always touring

But Little Simz also went independent, and she has just declared that she has to cancel her American tour due to the venues rent debt and financial problem.
