JRCF29 8,230
The Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania appears likely to drag into Wednesday, as Trump-endorsed celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz is locked in a dead heat with hedge fund manager David McCormick. With two-thirds of the expected vote in, less than 1 percentage point separated the pair, with McCormick ahead by a nose. Running in a distant third, but still overperforming expectations, was right-wing activist Kathy Barnette who saw a surge in support and media attention in the final two weeks of the race. Earlier in the week, several campaigns signaled to POLITICO plans to trigger a recount if the results were close, which would drag out the primary even more. McCormick and Oz have spent spent tens of millions attacking one another, and the eventual nominee is expected to be weakened from a grueling campaign. Democrats overwhelmingly backed Lt. Gov John Fetterman, who recently suffered a minor stroke, in their primary. He is expected to face criticism over his ties to the progressive wing of the party, as well as for a 2013 incident in which he pulled a shotgun on an unarmed jogger. Dr Fudge 8,674
I’m Pennsylvanian born and raised, however in my early 20s I relocated to go to school. My dad mentioned Dr. Oz is running for office….another celebrity using his platform for political gain. I can’t understand why people believe that celebrities know what’s best for them politically. It speaks to how small minded they are, if you ask me. Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

gabeoz 7,915
The entire slate of Pennsylvania GOP candidates is so embarrassing, even for the GOP even in what’s been expected to be a red wave year nationwide, democrats are expected to sweep in the PA senate and gov elections. bionic 50,111
The seat will 99% be held by the Republicans, so I'd rather McCormick win the primary. Dems should've voted Lamb
