Tiktok’s primarily Gen Z user base is believed to be uniquely active when it comes to social justice, with much of the platform’s most popular content focused on issues like abuse prevention and trauma. Yet the comments for the video, which was posted yesterday and has almost 14 million views, are almost all light-hearted and adulatory. “This couldn’t be any more creative! Love it! They are better actors than Ms. Amber,” says one top comment with more than 10,000 likes. “Objection: that’s purrsay,” says another comment with 59,000 likes.

The audio of Heard testifying to her abuse at the trial in Fairvax, Virginia, last week is currently going viral on TikTok, with nearly 15,000 videos using the sound. Most disturbingly, the top videos under the sound — many of which have more than 10 million views — appear to be literal reenactments of the abuse Heard describes in her testimony, with people in the videos (mostly men) seen mimicking slapping women across the face. In one of the top videos, a man dressed as Depp’s character in Pirates of the Caribbean pretends to slap a woman dressed in Heard’s courtroom attire. That video has five million views.

Such videos have been up for at least four days and in the process have racked up tens of millions of views in total, despite appearing to violate TikTok community guidelines preventing content that “promotes, normalizes, or glorifies extreme violence or suffering on our platform.” When reached for comment by Rolling Stone, TikTok said it had removed the videos we sent them on the grounds that it violated the platform’s anti-bullying and harassment policy, which prohibits “content that disparages victims of violent tragedies.” Yet the cat video is still up, as are 14,800 videos that have been posted using the sound.

Maureen Curtis, the vice-president of criminal justice programs at the victim assistance organization Safe Horizon, says all of the videos mocking Heard’s testimony by depicting violence should be immediately taken off the platform. The trend is “totally demoralizing and demeaning to all survivors, to all people, to everybody who believes all survivors should be treated compassionately and fairly,” she tells Rolling Stone. “To put that on TikTok in a joking way is insulting.”

I feel like people's opinion over them are weighed on how much they liked them based on the characters in movies they play. Johnny is like a cult classic weirdo in movies and will obviously have more fans than Amber. 

And Amber with all her inconsistencies just really set herself up by going to trial on this instead of settling. Even her lawyers didn't want her to go to trial and yet here we are. Listening to he said she said personal life drama. They are both toxic to each other and the trial is just for who will get the money.

Regardless of your opinion on the case, the memes are pretty ****ed right? Like even if you 1000% believe Johnny never hurt a fly, do you really think it’s appropriate to be making memes about her testimony acting like its actually really sexy what shes saying? Amber Turd is one thing, but some of these tik toks are just way too far

And before someone goes, BUT AMBER WENT TO FAR, yeah, she probably did, but if you really support Johnny, making  tik toks about Ambers facial expressions while testifying and acting like her recounting an alleged sexual assault is really sexy is just ****ed up. If I made a meme of Johnny cutting his own finger, id be crucified, and rightly so.

This isnt a spectacle. The one thing everyone can agree on is that Its two deeply deeply troubled people and we dont need ****ing memes about it being sexy when someone says Johnny abused them, even if we think they are lying

She literally posed for the photographer, she faked crying, she faked having PTSD any running into the wall when Johnny walked passed her, she literally messed up her own testimony by contradicting her own statements, I can’t believe anyone actually believes she’s the victim here. Yes Johnny may have been an idiot but the dude is EASILY provable as the victim in this.

as someone who dealt with abuse, Johnny was there suffering trauma in his seat with Amber staring him down every 5 seconds.

No, she deserves to be ridiculed and humiliated considering she’s been dragging Johnny’s name through the press and ruined his life. No matter how much the public will support him, his career is pretty much done, it’s gotten irreversibly damaged. 
 

Her testimony is so laughably faked that you aren’t laughing at an accusation anymore you’re laughing at a fairytale.

She humiliated Johnny for years and it’s just karma stuff happened to her. People were dragging Johnny in the press, the media, Twitter, Instagram, tiktok, everywhere when the accusations came out first. Now it’s her time. Easy as that.

This is easy to understand, except for the person who wrote that article. We have evidences that Amber also abused Jhonny. In this case, most people won't take her side, including women, because she's not a well liked person. Jhonny is well liked, and many big names in Hollywood are supporting him. I won't take her side either, because I don't believe she's innocent.
