Underwhelmed but I’m not really into celebrities makeup/skincare brands so that could be it

Because the word "clean" is being used about five times per post re: Haus Labs. Let me just put into the collective consciousness that "clean" is a totally abstract marketing term that has no FDA regulation and can mean whatever they say it means. Also, some ingredients commonly banned in "clean" products like parabens and other preservatives are very helpful and removing them actually causes more danger by creating a greater chance for bacterial growth. It's anti-science reasoning spawned by the kind of 'naturalist" culture that led so many to become anti-vaccines and brought back diseases we had all but beaten. Also, a lot of "clean" ingredients like essential oils and natural fragrances can still be irritating, some even more so than the common ingredients they are replacing in the name of "clean" cosmetics. So please be aware of this and always talk with a derm about allergies or sensitivities. Buying "clean" is not a cure all. Kinda bummed Gaga is pushing this so hard.

In order to get a clean at Sephora seal for your brand, there are requirements.

“Clean at Sephora is a curation of the very best in clean. Since we launched, we've continued to improve our assortment with science-backed innovations and by eliminating even more unwanted ingredients. That means our Clean seal has the highest standards
across the industry.
No phthalates
No formaldehydes or formaldehyde-releasers
No oxybenzone and octinoxate
No hydroquinone
No triclosan
No coal tar
No methylisothiazolinone
No insoluble plastic microbeads

At Haus Labs, artistry is for everyone, and no one should have to damage their skin or sacrifice their principles and values to be self-expressive with high-performance makeup

The new "At Haus Laboratories we believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder" 🤭

I bit shook that it seems to imply all “new products”. Nothing was salvageable?

Yes, but those are made by Sephora and there is no burden on them to prove the validity of any criteria they set. That is the difference between an FDA regulated term and brand selected marketing.

Im happy that 'Haus' stayed with the branding. It's special bec since day 1, the Haus of Gaga has been there formulating and executing winning moments with and for Gaga. I remembered when in ASIB, they were thinking of using Gaga's real name...and I was Nope! Glad that they did the same here.

And the fact that it has 'by Lady Gaga'... it will definitely attract more makeup enthusiasts and casuals.

I also like the science-y vibe, like Gaga is a real nerd...and i stan her also for being proud of that.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, is watching hunny:partysick:

not into her makeup line at all, she's even more exciting every time she sales and promoted for haus labs products than announced her chromatica ball and related :billie:

It might not seem like that big of a deal, but it's a huge change behind the scenes. Going from Amazon to Sephora likely required a total restructuring on the manufacturing side (not to mention rebranding all the products and marketing). It would've been weird if they didn't make a big deal out of it and it would've likely caused a lot of confusion on the consumer end.

Yeah I'm all for the Sephora thing. I was just expecting AT LEAST images of the new products. Oh well.

They'll definitely be revealing products as the month goes on. It's going to be a bigger collection than the initial launch. We have two new names already and looks like they'll keep some old products too (I'm guessing with updated packaging).

why CLEAN? sounds kinda shady... all the other make up brands giving us some dirt to put on our faces or what? :D If clean means cruel-free and good for the environment, I think the wording could have been much better

clean instead of dirty i guess

Oh wow 12 bronzer shades!! That’s actually amazing and inclusive, not a lot of brands have that many shades for bronzers.
