Why didn't Hold My Hand chart in the UK Official Singles Chart?

Anyone have any idea of why it didn't chart? It was top of the iTunes chart for a couple of days so surely it should've entered the Top 100?

iTunes is totally dead. In the US, I've seen Harry Style's new song was #1 with only like 40 (yes forty) sales, I can only imagine it's even less in the UK. So I guess iTunes positions are meaningless nowadays

I thought this. But everyone was making such a huge deal about it being #1 on iTunes, I thought it would at least have some impact.

I dunno if they changed chart rules, but I always assumed they waited for 7 days sales before it appears on the chart?

So it should appear on next Friday’s update.
