Future Vegas Pop Show

So Gaga’s ending her current leg of announced shows in Vegas, and still has around 20 shows left to fulfill her contract signed back in 2017. There’s also always the high possibility that she’ll extend/ sign a new Vegas contract, given her success there.

Enigma hasn’t been performed since February 2020, when she returns to Vegas will she revamp it, only do the Jazz + Piano shows, or come up with an entirely new “pop Gaga” show?

I think she’ll renew her contract (possibly move venues) and come back to Vegas late this year/ early 2023. I think it’s already been over 2 years since Enigma was last performed so it would feel off for it to come back so Enigma-heavy. So I think she’d come up with a new pop show and also revamp Jazz + Piano. For a new pop show, this setlist would be cool:

1. Born This Way

2. Just Dance

3. Stupid Love

4. Applause

——

5. John Wayne

6. Boys Boys Boys

7. LoveGame

8. Telephone (feat. Beyoncé)

9. Free Woman

——

10. Judas

11. Sexxx Dreams

12. Paparazzi

13. Alejandro

14. Yoü and I

15. Shallow

——

16. Marry the Night

17. The Edge of Glory

18. Rain On Me

——

19. Poker Face

20. Bad Romance

——

21. Hold My Hand (if it’s a big hit)

My gut feeling tells me she's not coming back for Enigma, and I even dare to say she never enjoyed performing Enigma when you compare it to her energy during her Jazz shows.

She will definitely extend her contract, the residency has been a huge success and I'm sure MGM are willing to pay out big money to keep her. I don't see her ever coming back to Enigma, and I think it's unlikely she will create a new pop show for Vegas, at least for the next few years. I think she will just continue with the Jazz & Piano shows.

I think her doing consistent Jazz shows and Vegas and saving the pop for her tours is honestly the best move for her career tbh. The locals love the Jazz shows. Maybe if she added in a few more of her hits, then it would probably sell even better. I always found it odd that Shallow wasn't a part of the set.

Yeah, I expect that her next pop show (after The Chromatica Ball) will probably be a tour for her next pop album, whenever that may be, rather than a Vegas show. The jazz show is a good fit for Vegas, and it's still selling very well. Plus, it's pretty lucrative from a business stand point for both Gaga and MGM as the cost of producing a jazz show is minimal compared to a pop show, yet they still generate the same revenue so it's more profit.

Enigma always felt like Gaga cosplaying as herself to me. It didn't feel fresh at all. It was like a composite of Monster Ball 2.0 and Born This Way Ball. Like the theatrical equivalent of "just play the hits." She had to come dressed as "Gaga." And I honestly don't expect her to go back now that the box office has proven she doesn't need to do that to sell tickets. And really that's best, or else she'll be stuck playing "herself" forever like Katy Perry.

I would love to see her do an acoustic/piano/jazz mix show. Something with a smaller production, yet still allowing her to show off her vocals more & strip back some hits & then other classics.

Agree, especially not many can do it this way, she has the advantage to do 2 different genres
I think it will also gives her more freedom in creativity and marketing execution for her next pop album by not needing to worry about fitting the new materials into Enigma sound/aesthetics, or avoid the tour being too similar to it

Obviously it will be an updated Enigma 2.0, or just a whole new concept altogether. She hasn’t done it yet to maximize the hype for Chromatica Ball.

Here for this :lolly:

It'd be neat for her to split it 50/50 between her favorite jazz songs and a mixture of acoustic or newly instrumentalized versions of her songs.

If I'm not mistaken, she does four sets of songs which each consist of three covers and one of her songs, yeah? Simply change that to four sets of two and two.

Poker Face, Paparazzi, Brown Eyes, Speechless, Bad Romance, Telephone, Born This Way, Marry the Night, The Edge of Glory, Yoü and I, Dope, Gypsy, Joanne, Million Reasons, Come to Mama, Just Another Day, Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright, I'll Never Love Again, I could probably go on but the point is she is full of potential ballads and jazzified hits. She should use them :firega:

🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼

I’m okay with a stripped down version gaga show, but I think it should be focused on acoustic/jazzy versions of her hits. The covers are cute but I want to hear Gaga sing Gaga songs!
