My biological mother has severe mental illness and while im not blaming her at all, she wasnt ever there for me or my sister. In a way, Gaga became a surrogate mom to me. Other people just see my gaga related tattoos and write me off as an obsessed fan but what they dont know is she was there when no one else was I dont think people realize how much Gaga changed everything. She had every opportunity to be a "typical" celeb/fan relationship with us but instead she took all of the kids who were told "youre too weird. Too different. Too unique" and gave them a home of sorts where they could be themselves. She loved them unconditionally for who they were. For alot of us, she truly was Mama Monster I love you monsters.
