It will be a huge hit in America. Just watch. It's a GenX throwback to the 80s, the undeniably best era, musically. Us 40 somethings are gonna eat it right up.

Yes I didn’t like shallow on first listen and it was a hit .. so maybe the gp will like this .. I can see it performed on The Voice by contestants etc

I can already imagine all the lighters in the air waving side to side when Gaga sings this at the Chromatica Ball! 

That said, I think its a beautiful sound, very anthemic and epic sounding. Her vocals also sound very strong and even better than before.

I love her vocals and the lyrics, dislike the production. You can tell BloodPop was involved in the creation of this song, feels like the production just doesn’t match the message of the song.

Well I am scared to express my thoughts…

Here we go. Not trying to be a little complainer but…

It is so busy production wise and gets even more muddy because of the (superb) vocals -her singing needs more room to breathe. 

The vocal melody should have been more adventurous. Instead, it is stiff and too determined to impress.

The 80s American hair glam type of reliance on volume-up instrumentals takes away from the surprise element. The song is either going to stay with people, or start feeling too familiar too soon to the point of lack of interest.

It is a bit powerballad by numbers. The structural freshness of Shallow is not there. 
 

It is wooordy. I’d rather like to hear quieter instrumentals or an additional verse/melody than the constant repeat/wordy delivery.
 

I liked the intro. It gives song a sense ofatmosphere which is much needed. I wish it all was more spatial and atmospheric, instead of being on steroids.

and c’mom guys, this production is stiff and dated as hell.

I. Cannot. Wait. For the day she stops working with Bloodpop  I didn't care for the song before I knew he produced it, btw, but it's nice to know that every Gaga project I either dislike or am indifferent to has his freaking name on it.

It's just Before I Cry with worse lyrics and bigger drums 

The intro, while cool, is totally out of place and has nothing to do with the rest of the song. It's like driving a racecar into your kitchen to make a sandwich. It doesn't make sense. Had there been some reprisal of it somewhere else in the song, it would have been ok but no...it's just...there  unless I missed it in my three listenings.

But oh well  AMAZING vocals but I can get those from a number of projects I actually adore so...back to Love For Sale for me  enjoy the Hold My Hand mini era, little Handjobs  I'm glad so many of you love it

The intro- After all it’s a song sung by Gaga, it’s going to be quirky. Bad Romance had “Ra Ra Ra” and Born This Way had the “Capital H- I - M” weird glitch. Both massive songs. But imagine, in the theaters, the movie ends, credits start to roll, that small snippet…the audience gets up to leave, they will hear that strange opening, and perhaps stay to listen to the song. It certainly is a WTF to grab attention. I’m sure radio will cut it though.

I think this will grow on me. It’s obviously a very uplifting/heartwarming song - chorus is big & bold. There’s a weird reverb/echo on the vocals that kinda annoys me - her voice is sublime, just let it shine. Great song though, hopefully it does well on radio.

It feels so... Middle of the road? Like it kind of builds up momentum but then it just stays there and then back down, never really peaking. 

I really, really hope the movie version has additional orchestration and is rid of that completely out of place intro.
