I get that y’all love military alliances that soak up billions of dollars in your country’s annual budgets at the expense of funding social programs that your countries need to actually help people. I used the assumption that WW3 will start as a conventional war and turn nuclear later. After he nukes, let's say, New York or Los Angeles, Moscow will be nuked as well. I don't see the point of mutual distruction, I am not saying is completely out of the realm of possibilities, but if he wanted to start WW3 already, he could have fabricated some pretext like he always does.

It's important to understand Russia's point of view because Russia's doctrine about its place in the world and the reasons why it acts in certain ways have concrete effects as seen by this war. Also, the desire apply haven't been low-key at all. That's why Russia threatened Sweden and Finland 6 times in a month.

It's not official yet... Swedish government just wish to apply together, but Finns have not yet said a word if they will apply or not. It's still in talks here and will be decided later (I'm a Finn, I know), that's why this kind of false information may cause unwanted actions from Russia and we don't want that.

It's literally confirmed by insiders that Finland is waiting for Sweden so they can apply in may together. It's everywhere both here and in Finland.

Personally, I doubt whether it's the right time to announce plans to apply for NATO membership, but what do I know...

 

What’s the alternative? Don’t join NATO and risk Russian invasion, or… join NATO…and risk Russian invasion…with allies?

I don’t expect anything different from Europeans who love to bomb black and brown countries and want their countries to join a sacred alliance to partake in the killings... 

And you’re probably deliberately ignorant to the 13 thousand people the Ukrainian government killed from 2014 to 2021 in the Donbass region, many of them civilians, for the suspicion of them being Russian separatists but alas Putin bad, Ukraine good. No actual analysis from y’all.

So when Ukraine wants to join for the sake of security it's all good but when two other countries want to join for the same valid reasons while Russia demands to decide their fate, it's bad?

Trust me Sweden and Finland would rather not join but when your airspace and water is constantly invaded with simulations of nuke bombstrikes targeted at your country you kinda want to rethink your stance on things. They really don't have any choice if they want guaranteed protection.

Yeah Russia respects neutrality, my ass. Ukraine even gave them their nukes because Russia said they would never invade....oops.
