Be afraid that Le Pen represents a part of the population, and is not going away anytime soon. Le Pen has lasted for at least three elections and continues to be unavoidable in the French political landscape. But if you think about it, at every moment in history there have been progressive movements - but also reactionary, movements of people who believe that the "past" is better because it is their comfort zone.
