Anderson123 37,740 Posted April 23, 2022 Share Posted April 23, 2022 I love The Cure and think it's a cute song that was a great gift back then between Joanne and then A Star Is Born (with a couple of them sounding similar, from the same sessions) but not really a big fan of that sound for a whole album. We got a little bit of that again on Chromatica with songs like Love Me Right and Free Woman and again, they're cute and good songs but they lack something. It's like songs she'd write for a new pop girl trying to make it. And of course, not all Gaga songs have to be like Heavy Metal Lover or Judas or whatever but one of the things I love about her is how these are 100% Gaga songs and you can't imagine others singing these.
