She should have embraced full country pop to make it a more cohesive album. Tracks like the showtune-esque Come to Mama and tropical m@sturbation song that is Dancin in Circles feel so out of place. Speaking of which, the inclusion of Dancin in Circles always felt a bit uncomfortable when the album is meant to honor her late aunt and heal her family. I agree Joanne feel least personal. Just another day is one of my favorite on the album Angel down > work tape, never a big fan of raw anger vocals (dope, till it happens to you etc.) As some of you said the album and sales didn't impact her career, but I feel like somehow she is still sticking to the joanne type of personality and fashion. Even tho she released chromatica in the past 2 years, however I cannot see the different persona gaga used to put on in different eras, instead I still see the Joanne lady persona till these days when she does interview or talking to peers Hit me a message and say hi ! It was predictable that gaga would do a stripped back album to follow up ARTPOP to avoid any backlash similar to ARTPOP. I don't think is was as authentic or heartfelt as ppl make it out to be. The whole theme felt forced and cringe. There's literally a song about masturbation on an album dedicated to a dead aunt? The best songs that deserved single treatment were not singles. There's not a single skip on the album. Hey Girl is massively underrated The gays can't comprehend that the album is dedicated to her family but not just about Joanne, her aunt her name is also Joanne, the album is about HER "It'S wEiRd FoR dIc To Be ThErE" how does it feel to be so wrong all the time?
