Not that I ever looked up these kinda awards before, but didn't they used to be stuffed with teenybopper pop acts, artists in their teens and early twenties who aren't taken seriously elsewhere? Why are these awards so adult orientated? Most of these artists and songs are not suitable for children, even the censored versions. I'd understand more if this were the teen choice awards but this says KIDS. What kids even listen to the likes of Adele? I have a hard time believing kids have any say in the nominations process whatsoever, this must totally be a bunch of adults making suggestions and kids just have the final say. Children grow up way too fast these days, it's sad.

As a music teacher, I can tell y'all that these are the artists and songs kids are listening to these days. All of my kids from elementary to secondary are singing these songs. Most of the songs are trending on TikTok so it's not really surprising to see that this is also what kids are listening to, regardless of it's appropriate-ness.
