There’s some great production on the tracks, but it feels like it takes a backseat to Gaga’s vocals at times. I overplayed it a ton when it first came out and I listened to it for the first time in a while a few days ago and it's great! Free Woman is underrated. Yes the demo is more dancey but the album version is great too and too many people pay it dust Fun Tonight is also dismissed way too much. I think if she does a piano / acoustic performance of the song it would make people realize how powerful and important it is. Plastic Doll is very cute but I can't help but feel it's missing something I can't put my finger on it. Maybe a different bridge? Different production? A feature? Idk. I like it but feels a little empty and I think it had more potential. Because, if it's a story with a start in Act I, a middle in Act II and an end on Act III, it is all over the place, she is happy and sad and then happy and then sad and then happy... Imagining it is a story about Gaga realizing being a popstar is bad for her mental health, then she struggles with her traumas and then overcomes them, it would make more sense like this: Chromatica I (Act I, she is living her life as a superstar, unhappy, supressing traumas) Alice Enigma Stupid Love Sour Candy Fun Tonight Chromatica II (in Fun tonight, her traumas take over, and now the songs reflect het psychotic break) 911 Replay 1000 Doves Rain on Me Chromatica III (in Rain on Me she starts to heal and the final act is about this healing. Chromatica III even has rain souds, it's too perfect to come after Rain on Me) Sine from Above Free Woman Babylon (the album ends with Gaga already healed from trauma, singing a classic pop song, telling the listening to battle for their life) If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Babylon Dynasty 1,800 Posted April 10, 2022 Share Posted April 10, 2022 - idk if this is unpopular but I wish the songs were longer or we had an extended version of some of them. - Her best tracklist ever. - 911 is her 2nd best MV (imo MTN is #1) - Fun Tonight is underrated and overhated . - Alice is kinda overrated . - Love Me Right deserved to be on the standard edition as an outro.
