can you stop name dropping britney? is 2022 and no one cares about her.

we gave her enough attention on 2021 and now she is finally free. time to move on.

Take a chill pill first of all. Second it is relevant to this because the joke used in ber case is worse than the one used here. I will mention whoever I want to whenever I want to on a public forum where I have every right to do so. Thank you very much!

Bonkers

Almost everybody will deal with a health condition in their life.

If you're rich and successful and your health condition has this effect (and ONLY this effect):

That's true I forgot about her erratic behavior back then. But Will Smith has never displayed erratic behavior like a Kanye or Britney.

Chris Rock came for his wife's looks on a television show broadcast live all around the world and he got mad only after he saw his wife's reaction. How hurt she was.

I don't condone violence but he didn't go on stage to beat his ass to a bloody pulp. He literally just slapped him turned around and walked away. Then told him to keep his wife name out his mouth.

I understand your point. And I do agree that the joke was stupid and not funny at all but that doesn’t change the fact that this is an assault unfortunately. He literally assaulted a man on live television.

REALITY

I feel like this whole situation is much more controversial and intensified because of the fact that it's Will Smith & Chris Rock and that it was on the Oscars.

Cause we're here saying "Oh, Will was 100% out of line and he shouldn't have done that. He assaulted Chris and he needs to be charged and/or arrested," but I feel like I've seen dozens and dozens and dozens of clips/videos of people getting physical whenever someone says something out of line, but no one bats an eye. In fact, Twitter hypes them up and they go, "Yeah! That person got what they deserved! They shouldn't say stuff like that/make jokes like that; it's on them". But now people wanna act like they're saints..

Btw, I'm not saying what Will Smith did was right/wrong. I think both things can be true: Will Smith shouldn't have gone up there and smacked Chris Rock, but also, Chris Rock maybe shouldn't have made a joke specifically about someone's medical condition.

It was a joke and if you can't take it then just be humble and let it be. Jokes in that formed are known to be insulting and barely funny it's not that Jaida was the first person to ever experience something like this in such environment. Seemed like the two felt more insulted in their pride than their actual feelings

Also remember the umbrella situation. Legit you can’t say peiple would have been on her side.

I dont want to quote the other poster but damn what kind of history revisionism was that?

Britney was being torn apart by the media and the public during the early 2000s. The picture of her lashing at paparazzi and shaving her head were ubiquitous and everyone was mocking her, calling her a crazy bi*ch. And that was her never actually full on assaulting anyone.

And this person actually said people would have been on her side? Gimme a break.

True, I'm not saying he shouldn't face consequences. I just don't think they should be so harsh. Especially if the Oscars approved of a joke disparaging a women's looks based on a disease to be used on an international broadcast.

I hope we come to a time when comedy is no longer used as a defence to say the most bizarre **** about people and communities and get away with it.

I'm conflicted about this one. Regular degular people can't just haul off and slap people because someone says something they don't like and expect no consequences.

At the same time what Chris Rock said was probably very hurtful to a woman who has been public about experiencing hair loss. Chris may not have known that.

I wish Will would have just yelled at him while on stage.

Suddenly the hollywood elite cannot have a joke made about them at the Oscars?? Should've been escorted out, freak. Chris should've said "Jaida, is that your man?" something else bc HAH, please Mr William, PLS what are you gonna do.
