Because being comfortable in their prettiness/ femininity is attractive. With all the talk about denounce toxic masculinity, sexuality freedom, breaking gender norms, why is this come as a suprise?

Different people can be attract to different looks, and don't act like everyone not thirsting after Henry Cavils.

Also why do you guys default muscular guys as a standard and slim "pretty" male as just some trend? The Kpop look has been a things since forever in east Asia. All the art in medieval time also praise that skinner look too. American standard is not the world's :samanthac: maybe they just catching up

Having a more diverse pool of beauty standards is important to our society. This doesn’t represent what I desire for myself, but it does for other people and showcasing it in such a way is something I hope continues to happen. We need more diverse visual representations among men as well as women for what is seen as desirable and attractive.

It’s a phase, a trend which is normal. It happens in cycles so one day this is hot, the next it might be hairy chubs

You know, I didn't even realise I found Timothee hot until I went to see Dune alone. And then all of sudden I was there in the theatre, surrounded by strangers, thinking about all the things I'd do to him in that moisture recycling tent :ohwell:  probably die of dehydration...
worth it

That is why we as adults need to filter these stuffs out. These are not real standards, just what the media trying to push onto you.

Idk, I'm kinda happy that I see bodies like mine represented more in the media these past few years because growing up I used to feel almost like it was my responsibility to look muscular in order to be a man.

However it's kinda worrying that skinny guys have become the ”norm” in films and TV as it will build pressure on boys to look that way too. We need more diversity.
