Do you think ARTPOP ACTII would be received well nowadays

As an EP or repackage of AP for its 10th anniversary? Sure. They’ll probably try to sound pretentious by saying how ACT II is better than the original when really it’s just cause liking Gaga now is more trendy/acceptable than it was in 2013 (where she was hitting a point of overexposure). I also think experimental pop is more acceptable nowadays than it was in 2013 when Pop was geared to be radio friendly (Katy’s singles come to mind). Hyperpop/PC for example is more appreciated than ever, and so I can see ACT II having its casual fans, especially if it’s this techno club record.

Critically? Probably. There's been a definite shift in the way critics approach that style of music. There's been a lot of work done within the genre that has earned it credibility that it didn't have back in 2013. So yeah, I'd say critics would probably praise it more now than they would have had it come out when it was meant to. Commercially? I doubt it. At this point, it'd be something that only fans would have any real interest in. It's not the sort of thing that would catch on with general audiences. She has an appeal to general audiences now that she didn't have at the time, but I think many overestimate where the good will comes from and how much of it there actually is. She's not tested the waters of her acceptance by general audiences with work as experimental as ARTPOP and I think, even now, that style would turn those listeners off.

I honestly don't think so. If they will decide to release it for the 10th anniversary of ARTPOP I think they'll do it in a very minimalist way, without great advertising or marketing strategies. It will be a gift for fans and if it will be successful it will be just an extra.

I have no idea how the criticism might receive it. I don't know the songs and how far they went with sound experimentation.

Honestly ? Yes.

Most press reviewers admitted they were not right trashing ARTPOP back in the past and that the album was actually great.

Gaga has got a brand new strong reputation since Superbowl and ASIB time. It'll be easier for her to release anything in the future.

Chromatica is actually a good example. Anybody here would have thought she would have flopped hard with a dance record and it did kind of great without any strong promo schedule. So yeah ARTPOP 2, Joanne Dark B Side or anything  else could work imo.

The music landscape is much kinder to albums like ARTPOP, so I believe Act II would get more of a fair shot. It wouldn’t be dismissed the way Act I was and some might try to right the wrongs of the past by being extra nice to it.

I believe it would get some buzz, because it would be the sequel to an infamous album, so critics, writers, video essayists and pop heads will be PERCHED, whether that would translate into commercial success is hard to say.

Best case scenario it will be well received critically, receive a lot of social media buzz for a couple weeks and do Dawn Of Chromatica numbers.

In terms of content I'm sure the whole thing would be reworked to sound fresh anyway so yeah she can release it.

It honestly would be. The industry rankings have switched dramatically since ARTPOP dropped.

The general public probably have more appreciation for Gaga these days than her own fans.

Only pretentious critics and OGH will still be amplifying  "dUh sO dAtEd eDm FAD" once ACT 2 drops and if the first one gains traction again.

I actually think they would say its not as good as the original because its now trendy to love ARTPOP.

It could get good reception if the songs are reworked with "updated" production cause ARTPOP was already kinda dated back then, imagine now.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
