Replay is overrated

Alice is underrated

Stupid Love was the best choice for lead single, shame the leak and COVID happened

Perfect Illusion was the best choice for lead single, shame they didn’t push it more and drop the video the same day

Do What U Want with -. ----- will always be the best version (unfortunately) AND the leak of its video wouldn’t do any damage to Gaga at this point, it would mostly go down as a cult stan moment, although a massive one in stan culture. And it would be seen as an ugly reminder of the public’s (and even Gaga’s) naivety when it came to him and sexual predators in general

Dance in the Dark is the single that got away, one of her best songs ever. I'd love for her to talk about it in-depth one day.

There hasn't been an 'iconic' music video since Alejandro.

Not only is Bad Romance one of the most iconic songs of all times, but it deserves much higher placement when those lousy publications do their (extremely biased and dry) lists.

'Dark-pop' (who coined the term? lol) Gaga songs are her best. Gaga had this incredible power/ability to take her trauma and mold it into a poisonously-ethereal work of art. When she took the happy route (Stupid Love, Rain on Me) it fell flat for me personally.

Enigma is one of Gaga's best songs ever (lyrically, vocally, and that incredible beat). I admit I was shocked at how a lot of Little Monsters disliked it. It's incredible.

Dark pop is a real genre, Depeche Mode is probably a really good example, it was big in the 80s. But in the modern era, it’s just used more loosely, anything that is somewhat sad or “dark” lyrically.

She has the messiest team in the business. It’s ridiculous everything she has done since 2011 has had setbacks one way or another.

Little monsters have not stopped supporting her because we are older or mature. gaga distanced herself from us and has became a cash cow which has turned off a lot of fans.

Gaga biggest flaw is her hypocrisy.

Chromatica is her most commercial album.

She didn’t care about chromatica at all.

Ya she cared so little about chromatica that she released 3 music videos for it and did the chromatica weather girls and gagaradio and gagavision and a remix album and had a whole ass promo plan for it but covid ruined it ya she didnt care at all

Plastic Doll, Fashion!, and Donatella are amazing.

ARTPOP underperforming had a lot more to do with the Born This Way era's success falling short than people realize.

- Chromatica is one of her most cohesive albums ever and needed to be a full visual experience. No skip on it.

A visual album is a thing we all expect from Gaga but I fear we'll never get :fatcat:

- Same here, not sure it's unpopular, but I would love her to work with Garibay and RedOne on another full album. She seemed in a better place mentally and creatively and more passionate with them in the studio. Just a personal feeling about it but from what she said I'm not sure she still likes being in the studio and create anymore.

I have a feeling she sometimes wants to do something with them (like "original LG5" and the ARTPOP Act 2 tweets while ago) but it may sound similar to her old records then she gets frustrated and searches for a new direction.

She truly doesn't seem to want to repeat eras ('cause we KNOW she could easily give us another TFM-like album/EP if she wanted to)

Also.. If ARTPOP came out in 2012 it would have been pretty successful even tho it was a downgrade at the time from her previous work. It flopped only because of her team and poor timing choices and planning.

I agree with u but gurl you're forgetting the hip incident :air:

Isn’t it a fact that Gaga reads this site?

being like “i like this song more than this one” is all well and good but blasting her team and saying she doesn’t care anymore is just rude as hell

which leads to my opinion: little monsters have been the worst fans i’ve encountered

Versace

1-The Fame/Fame Monster is her best work (you can argue it but they are what factually changed the industry)

2-Born This Way is extremely overrated, it has a lot of sentimental value for the fan base and the message is her most impactful but when you dissect the album as just music, there’s nothing on it that was sonically groundbreaking to the extent fans make it out to be.

3-ARTPOP is extremely underrated, it was a wrong time/wrong place situation. If you factor out the bad planning around the era, the music itself was nowhere near deserving of the criticism it got. What’s funny it was deemed as this overly artistic complex concept album when today there’s an abundance of those celebrated. People loved to question Gaga and make sense of everything she does instead of enjoying the amazing production we got on ARTPOP. If you wanted a club record, this was THE club record to go to.

4-Chromatica is a flawless album. Like even its worst song is decent (1000 Doves). I think fans are not appreciating the fact we got such a well rounded album that so what if the era did not manifest the way it was meant to.

5-Gaga is getting lazy when it comes to her main career or initial career of being a Pop artist. Like this is not me saying I lose sleep over it. It’s just apparent and some fans are deluding themselves from it. I think you know what I mean by this one especially when you contrast it with her career up to ARTPOP. She’s giving bare minimum. I don’t blame her though, she wants to focus her efforts elsewhere like building up her acting career, etc.

She is not connecting with her fans anymore as she used to

I was able to get backstage at artRave and when I met her again during the JWT she was very distant.

I know she had some horrible experiences but I am lucky she decided not to m&g for this tour

- Chromatica is not fantastic. The Cure > Most of the album. I really hope she doesn't work with Bloodpop again.

- Joanne is an phenomenal album and Gaga at her most authentic, but I wish she'd done more songs with Kevin Parker. That summery, psychedelic, pop-rock vibe hits so well. Joanne also sounds too squeaky clean in its production.

- Gaga is an amazing performer and has outstanding performances, but where she's most happy and shines is on stage performing Jazz and Rock songs. Her performances with rock stars, her Van Halen covers with Dirty Pearls, the Vegas Jazz show, etc.

- Jewels N Drugs is a banger

- Fun Tonight is also a banger

- Fashion of his Love, The Queen and Love Me Right are some of her best songs of all time

- She should release a rock album

- She should release a solo Jazz album (Just a Gigolo, New York New York, Fly Me To The Moon, etc)

- She should release a cover album singing her favourite songs of all genres. Rock, 80s, Bowie, Zeppelin, Elton, Stevie, Sting, etc.

- She should stop getting those damn lip fillers and looks so much prettier without them.

- She looks absolutely gorgeous with dark hair, or even her natural hair colour. The start of ARTPOP when she had her natural black hair, nose piercing, etc. looked so punk.

- ARTPOP is my favourite era. but she really didn't help herself in some of those interviews. Especially that BBC culture one where she's almost comatose.

- Gaga often sounds really fake as of late, especially in the Chromatica interviews and Star is Born press tour.

- Her Coachella show was more authentic, fresh, etc. than artRAVE and the Joanne World Tour.

Lmao anything on paper sounds like a lot. We all know she didn’t do proper promo for it and it lacked singles, interviews, videos, performances etc. There was so much she could have done but didn’t, which in my opinion shows how much someone cares about something. She went all out for L4S and HOG.

And we can’t put faith into that promo plan. Nothing her team says can be trusted. Gaga said herself during the Zane Lowe interview that she wasn’t really going to promote, not to mention even without covid we would probably still only have 2 singles and 3 videos. We can agree to disagree but I can’t believe people are still using covid as an excuse as to why the era was lacklustre
