Once during a TV series Perez Hilton was making (they had a falling out mid production) and then again during the 5ft2 doc, and perhaps glimpses on an occasional BTS video. Otherwise I feel like she wears various masks depending on what she’s doing, and sometimes (only sometimes) it’s so obvious it can feel contrived and it can be difficult to connect with what she’s saying/doing. Not the bore worms! Monster7 5,665 Posted March 20, 2022 Share Posted March 20, 2022 I agree with some of the comments so i will write only those who nobody has said yet - Replay is easily her best dance pop track since 2011 and it's easily in her top 10 best songs ever - Alice would have been too if it had another verse and chorus - Monster and Speechless would have been big hits and the perfect way to close TFM era, plus it would have highlighted Gaga's skills at piano and slow songs for the GP since the very beginning - She's not tired of making pop music as many of you said, she's tired of fame, expectations and the constant hate many of her own fans throw at her - ARTPOP is not the masterpiece y'all pretend it to be. Electronic music was still going strong that year and following, but her biggest haters never want to admit it. * Perfect Illusion needed a remix/live EP. Twitter was barely a thing when she first became famous and most tabloid news was print; nowadays, there are a million blogs and twitter is massive in the entertainment world (though still not widely used in the GP). Stars will get dragged over anything on twitter and are often blamed for bad "stan" behavior. People act like Gaga is the only one who stopped being so active on social media, but in reality most pop stars (and even actors) took a serious step back or even when completely radio silent (a la Beyonce). The potential backlash of being super active on social media just isn't worth it.  Agree about the lyrics. For me, Joanne and Chromatica have her best lyrics (though not a fan of Sour Candy or Fun Tonight's lyrics). Sine From Above, Replay, and 911 are particular standouts imo.  Engima was critically acclaimed...the only part the critics sort of derided was one of the monologues. I've always found it weird that some fans act like it was panned by critics. Wasn't ARUTW a major hit in multiple countries outside the US? Everyone is watching every move she makes and she is scared to make the wrong once. Everything she says seems calculated, scripted, robotic... She seems so damn careful to never say anything bad etc. And not giving any fuhcks wouldn't benefit her anymore like it once did.
