clueless chanteuses  @TimotheeChalamet & @GipJo  raised some very interesting questions about icon matt bomer and his acting pattern

one asked if matt will ever play another type of role and the other replied that it's not his fault but hollywood's.

i remember reading how kristen stewart escaped hollywood because she was being offered the same type of roles. she went to europe and did some acting there that was praised by critics.

it gave her the experience and the background which in the end lead her to SPENCER and the rest is herstory.

what are our theories on king matt? he is very talented that's for sure.

â–Ș he is being type casted in hollywood and he might only want to work there so that's ok.

â–Ș he is comfortable playing those type of roles which is totally understandable as well.

â–Ș ryan murphy put a spell on him.

White Collar, Texas Chainsaw Massacre... He's not always playing the same kind of characters

Well I mean first off, he’s not always playing the same kind of roles, there’s a good bit of diversity in his filmography. But even there wasn’t, that’s fine? If he’s happy doing what he’s doing, gets paid, and keeps getting consistent work, I couldn’t knock him for accepting roles of a certain type. Not every actor is aiming for Oscars and the Christian Bale chameleon thing. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.

Meredith Grey

He has 3 kids, a husband and a career that’s pretty steady and gets to actually play a lot of openly gay roles. I cant imagine he wants much more, he seems really happy and fulfilled in life.

Also, there are people who type cast themselves as something on purpose. He’s not like Daniel Radcliffe where he will forever be Harry Potter. The Rock and Sandra Bullock both essentially play the same kind of character all the time but it’s easily translatable in different stories and genres. Being typecast as the gay/pretty boy isnt that bad when that role exists in a LOT of movies.

TimotheeChalamet

Okay people, here me out: I am tremendously sorry if my comment raised a storm (and tbh I'm quite over this need to constantly explain everything because everybody on the internet became so sensitive), but all I wanted to say was that I'm always seeing him playing someone's sex interest in movies after what he did for Ryan Murphy.

It's not that deep, it's not criticism nor personal offences to anyone.

By the way if you're so scarred by how I expressed my feelings lock the thread or delete my comments and we're good.
