Do you think this new celeb trend of 'ordering' babies via surrogate will damage the future parent-child bond? It seems so fake and even a little selfish, because it's not like those people couldn't have children on their own, they just choose to do it that way. I hope my question doesn't offend anyone. I'm just curious about the psychological process beyond these rich people's behavior.

I don’t think so.. the child will bond with the adult regardless of them being biologically connected. Same question would apply for gays who have surrogates, no?

Yeah, and the same could be said about adopted children. Children just want to be loved, they are never the problem. I'm just thinking about how will these parents deal with fatherhood/motherhood in the future. Like, will these celebs start to treat children just like something they can order online? Do they understand the commitment and the willingness to be selfless that carries with it? Again, I'm not trying to be judgmental. I'm aware anyone can be a good parent since you don't have to carry your child to love them. I just find fascinating this new trend around celebs. I hope I'm making sense.

Nah you make sense and I don’t think you’re being rude or ignorant it’s a good question haha. I wonder how much some celebs actually take care of their children VS having Nannies/caretakers.. especially somebody like Elon who apparently works 70 plus hours a week

It's pretty interesting that when a wealthy person uses surrogacy, it's automatically assumed that it's for vanity reasons. It can be for a number of reasons, as it is often with people who aren't wealthy and also for same sex couples.

I thought they broke up? 🤔

In the VF interview, Grimes also revealed she and Musk got back together after reportedly calling it quits late last year.

“There’s no real word for it,” she said. “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”

The two want to have more children.

"We've always wanted at least three or four," she said.
