They deliberately bombed over 400 hospitals in Syria, so I'm not surprised (I believe there's even a wikipedia entry on the Russian/Syrian hospital bombings). This is why I get so f*cking frustrated with people who play down the horrific crimes Russia has inflicted via Grozny (and Chechnya in general), Syria, and Ukraine. Apparently they've started doing a lot of rape, too, according to a Ukrainian journalist I follow on twitter (in Chechnya, they went door to door and many gang raped women and children). I don’t know if he’s trying to shut down the internet, but he is trying to control the information his people have access to. It’s starting to look a lot like China’s internet, very censored and controlled. Mainland Chinese users (non Hong Kong/ Taiwan) are so disconnected from the rest of the world, they no longer see democracy as a viable option. They've done the same playbook that they did in Syria: bombing evacuation routes, hospitals, and residential areas. Now Lavrov is screaming about Ukrainians using "labs" which seems like he's setting the ground for a false flag attack so Russia can use chemical weapons again. I thought u were talking about the rumour that he wants to get rid of the internet entirely Personally im a little skeptical of that rumour as in a modern economy even like Russia suddenly getting rid of the internet would be an economic nightmare logistically speaking But who knows at this point it wouldnt totally shock me either as Putin basically proved how irrational and how much self inflicted damage hes willing to take on for his goals Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
