But that’s through MARVEL and their comics are known for producing LGBTQ storylines. I think people are more concerned about Disney direct like a prince or princess. Hell they start doing that they’ll probably lose support from these legislators—not like they need them though.

Thank goodness we just got rid of Disney+. And I'll make sure we don't get it back now

lmao wasn’t Walt a known racist and homophobe?

Disney actually fought against artists‘ coded queer-messaging underlying their many movies. So them actually trying to profit off of the people putting their jobs on the line for the last century by putting in queer-coding that remained undetected back in the day is actually disgusting.

They allowed the bare minimum, basically only things they didn’t detect, and how they try to profit off of allowing what they didn’t see back then.

Yet LGBTQ+ people still continue to support this company while pointing fingers everywhere else, Disney being homophobic is not new. See how ordinary it is for people to cherry pick what is acceptable and completely abhorrent to them?

The majority of us are knowingly supporting evil **** all the time, the others are indirectly doing the same. I don't get why so many act as if they aren't or are above that. It's near impossible to avoid in our society, seeing how this doesn't even dent this behemoth company will further prove that.

REALITY

It’s also extra frustrating when a lot of their consumer base includes a lot of queer/LGBTQ people. This is f*cling sad and pathetic, but also, I’m sadly not surprised. Big corporations don’t care about social issues. They’ll cash in whenever they can in order to look progressive and inclusive, but when it comes to real issues like this, they don’t care

0% surprised. Disney has always been like this. All their "LGTB characters" is pure propaganda to western countries, they censor all of it in China, Russia or arabic countries. They don't have the balls to present a proper gay character.

But hey, be ready when, around June, they come with their "inclusiveness" scheisse on Twitter.

This is with the Disney Gift Card, Disney Destinations, and Disney Imagine departments located in Florida. I think I may have to give them all a call.

Side note: Comcast (Universal Studios) has given waaaaay more that Disney combines. They also have their annual pride “Love Is Universal” merchandise. Can anyone name a gay character from a Universal movie that wasn’t used as a butt of a joke?

I don't get their issue with creating gay main characters. Why is it so hard? One movie a few people may not like, while they make enough money on other things. I believe there are still a lot of people who don't want to see black Ariel, but Disney still makes that movie. (I don't mind black a Ariel btw) So I don't understand why they don't want to take other risks.
