This way the system could collapse from the inside, so Putin is removed faster I suppose?

What‘s the other option? How can you retaliate against a neo-imperialist that invades sovereign nations and has just violated your national air space with military fighter jets, without harming the general population of Russia? As far as I know, there are no sanctions that f*ck over Putin and his regime, while sparing the general population of Russia. No matter what you target… it will trickle down to the general public. Because his regime is cleptocratic. What they lose, they will reclaim at the behest of poor people anyway (see Russia‘s executive order that forces all Russia nationals to sell 80% of all their held foreign currencies to the government in exchange for Rubels).

Apple also closed its stores in Russia right? And Glasgow film festival removed all Russian films from this year’s lineup.

On a brighter note maybe they’ll finally move inventory to other stores and actually have stuff in stock

For the same reason that the Germans paid financially for what they did.

The Russian government is kept in place by the Russian people. Yes, it's true, Russian citizens shouldn't have to suffer for the war of one man, but they are the only people that can stop him at this point.
