AntonTurnItUp 7,051
As we know, Boys Noize worked on at least a pair of songs for the then Gaga's upcoming sixth studio album (by 2018), and his sound is much more aggressive and industrial than Bloodpop's work on Chromatica which was "Housey" and mainstream Dance Music, during 2018-2019 Gaga was rooting for old school european beats, let me introduce you the genre I think she had on mind while working with Bois Noize: EBM - Electronic Body Music According with Wikipedia this is a genre of electronic music that developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe. It combines sequenced repetitive basslines, programmed dance music rhythms, and mostly undistorted vocals and commandlike shouts with confrontational or provocative themes. This was very popular in Germany and the rest of Europe during the late 80s and early 90s, the same period of the House music that inspired many songs of the album, Boys Noize is german and he is one of the actual exponents of this and other genres like Industrial Techno, and before heard Babylon (Haus Labs) I think is safe to say that the music they worked was or is inspired by this style. How it sounds? Spoiler The aesthetics of this style uses extreme industrial imagery, hyper-masculine style for both women and men, and black leather looks (go search Nitzer Ebb on google, a band that takes a lot of this aesthetics and musical style): Maybe we were so close to the Dark electronic era we want, but we all know what happened to this music, maybe Gaga didn't scrapped it, I think her label didn't let her to release this kind of music because is very agressive and experimental, I'm glad we can hear at least Babylon Haus Labs Version. I hope she takes this concept again for LG7, but you know... .

TimotheeChalamet 4,887
Wasn't his work included in Enigma (show) interludes? I think his songs with Gaga sounded a bit like that and were scrapped because they were not commercial enough, or simply because they were less good than the ones she chose for Chromatica. AURAOFSHEISSE 6,515
I actually think the retro production would've suited the album very well, those examples r “Hands on your knees, I’m Angelina Jolie”

Bling 31,199
THIS! I was stoked to hear Gaga was in the studio with Boys Noize because I just love his style, and then I was slightly disappointed that Chromatica was more "airy" and "poppy" and less authentic Euro House Thanks so much for this post. It really explained more what I was expecting and hope she goes this route in the future. discord.gg/hausofdelulu The #1 Lady Gaga Discord for Delusional Little Monsters! There is also an interview with him on youtube where i talks about his „techno“ experience in berlin and he briefly talks about Gaga as well, saying he produced RoM and FW with her in his studio and how he got the connection in the first place. She apparently was really eager to work with him after listening to his previous work kinda sad they reworked most of his work on the songs in the end. I was convinced Chromatica would be very dark and experimental, especially when she released the Paper Interview magazine and she talked about how electronic all the songs were, and how much they were influenced by House-music. Then whe nthe Free Woman demo leaked, I was sooooo excited to finally have a dark-electronic alternative(ish) album from her ! Was slightly disappointed because it all sounded a bit too commercial and airy imo, but still a nice album <

Starmie25 13,959
I have a good feeling Gaga & Boys Noize will work together again.
