She continued using it to sell perfume for years. I hope it's just rocker chic, not "kawaii" as her other beauty products have been If what you see when you look at harajuku and kawaii style is ‘Asian stereotype’ that’s a you problem. Asian culture has produced too many beautiful and important things for them to be diminished into ‘Asian stereotypes’ ‘Asian appropriation’ just because they originated in that part of the world. That’s just racism! Try looking past skin color and maybe you can appreciate harajuku too

That people whenever they see something slightly outside of their own culture, they find it weird and so then believe the person having an interest in that foreign culture is weird. And this "feeling" is supposed to "progressive"?!?! I feel like as a society we're going backwards. Whenever I see people having an interest in my culture, I get really happy, because it means that they don't find it offputting and are openly embracing it, and over time my "weird" culture will be normalised. Especially when actual Asian performers are so underrepresented in American pop culture. If anyone should be making money from bringing kawaii style and Harajuku fashion into Western culture, it's not f'n Gwen Stefani.

And where do you suppose we draw the line exactly? Can a Japanese-American make K-Pop Music? Japan masscared hundreds of thousands of Korean people and swept it under the rug, are they allowed to "capitalise" on Korean culture? Or is because they both look asian to you that is doesn't matter? USA is a multi-cultural society, you are going to have blending of cultures, and you want to separate the cultures and not allow people to enjoy each others, and you're doing it under some fake progressive lens? The only thing differentiating what you're saying from segregation is that you're allowing POC to enjoy white culture, but not vice versa. Do you really think that will improve racial relations? Btw look at interviews of the Chinese/Japanese/Korean/ ect public being asked these questions, you know the people you're pretending to defend, amazing how you're the only person who has a problem with it, a non-asian. Yes. Besides, trademarks are usually very broad, so if you would trademark for, say, "cosmetics", it would include all these things in the description by default. Franch Toast 26,581
I had to go to the Apple store at the mall today because my computer is a bit sick, so I stopped by Sephora, and according to the manager at that store, the line is coming sometime in April, and the stores will be trained in how to use the products sometime in March. Again, this is just what this time specific person told me so do not take it as the gold standard. She also said she wasn’t sure what would be included in the line at this time as she didn’t have a lot of information yet. She/Her/Hers
