Gaga least important album

Let's see.

The Fame: Her debut, lots of amazing hits

The Fame Monster: contains Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro; important enough?

Born This Way: the peak of her music career, simply amazing

ARTPOP: underrated, it caused more harm than good so it's still important

Joanne: showed Gaga's versatility and paved the way to ASIB era

Chromatica: nothing special happened on this one, plus her #1 was because of Ariana.

My answer is Chromatica, by a mile.

It’s so hard to say.

The Fame was her debut and introduced the world to her music and style.

The Fame Monster took her to new nights and served as a stepping stone for future success as well.

Born This Way was a legendary album that showed the world what she stood for.

ARTPOP commercially wasn’t as much of a success but it shifted the course of her career and is a true hidden gem for fans.

Joanne showed her completely changing her sound and shedding the “Gaga” layers, introducing her to new audiences.

Chromatica is such a reflection of her pain and how music helped her through such a dark time, which is a powerful message that has surely helped others in their dark times.

Each album is important in unique ways. I suppose Chromatica did the least in changing the course of her career, but that doesn’t make it any less important.

More like the other way round hun, before ROM Ariana’s previous singles had all famously flopped, including some very big name collabs, such as the ill-fated “supergroup” trio of Ariana, Miley and Lana with their “surefire” hit Don’t Call Me Angel, as well as the song that nobody can remember with 2 Chainz :bear:

I look forward to all the petty ARTPOP shade in this thread despite the fact that it was easily one of the most impactful albums in her career - it literally changed the way she interacts with her fanbase :cyanlights:

I think your answer says it all... ARTPOP was very much eventful for the fanbase, but I don't think it made much of an overall cultural impact. If you went in the street and asked random people what ARTPOP is, I doubt you'd get a lot of answers. As much as I hate to admit it, this would also be true with Joanne and Chromatica

To answer this thread in a different way, I think the ASIB soundtrack is factually the most important album of her later career.

I mean, not for the album and its content, she won for her vocal delivery on a cover of one of the songs, so technically, I wouldn't say the album won a Grammy. However, what I do say is that the album SHOULD have won a Grammy

I really wish she had released a super deluxe with the song on it instead of an individual release

Chromatica is probably the least important album.

The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way, ARTPOP, and Joanne were all pretty important for her career development. If she didn't put out Chromatica, I don't see how her career would be any different. But I can see it being vastly different if she didn't put out any of the albums before Chromatica.
