Canadas largest Province Ontario will lift vaccine passport requirements March 1st provided case counts continue to drop as projected until then. Unvaccinated will have access to things such as restaurants and gyms

 

However the Province also said its not ready to lift mask mandates just yet and for the moment that will remain in effect

Way too soon IMO. This will make me think twice about going to a restaurant or movie theatre for a little while...

Also sends a horrible message that these yahoos that have been holding Ottawa hostage won in some way.

On the one hand i wanna say keep banning unvaxxed but on the otherhand the vaxxed are mostly protected anyway despite any surge in unvaccinated so why keep punishing businesses?

 

Tho i still worry about hospital capacity should another surge occur

Im sure thats not why the government is lifting restrictions but i agree it could look like this or send the message. I thought of that too

 

That can be harmful in the sense if ppl start to think everytime they disagree woth something just do a protest to create chaos and then the government will give in to what u want

Oh god, I don’t know how I feel about this... feels too soon, what with the hospital situation, but on the other hand if they weren’t going to up the requirement to 3 shots is it even that useful anymore?

I like to think this has been decided based on science, but knowing this government I have no faith

I feel like its a bit soon too. Maybe give it a few more weeks and see if the wave truly is over for good
