Being the same age as Gaga, Facebook just came to be in my college years. And it was only open to certain colleges to begin with. Groups weren’t a thing until later in my college years. rawrimamonster 1,115 Posted February 13, 2022 Share Posted February 13, 2022 FB groups were created later on but in the early days of FB (like 2007-2009ish) it was popular to have “pages” for random things that anyone could create and they’d show up under your “likes.” I remember there was a page titled “Pretending to text in awkward situations” that had millions of likes. There were also pages created to harass/bully people unfortunately. I remember reporting a page a kid at my HS made called “Emo kids should all d*e.” So I think it’s entirely possible that someone made a Facebook “page” about Stefani G in college (she was in college when I was in HS) and over time the grapevine started calling it a “group” instead of a “page.” edit: guess it was more like 2005-2006.
