having credits on songs you're not worked with just because of a contract? this should be illegal, why is nobody battling this? it sound to me that she just want to save her skin...

Nah the music industry is so twisted. Even Gaga said, "It's such a boys club". Harvey Weinstein is literally the tip of the iceberg in the movie industry when it comes to disgusting practices and abuse of power. There's so much going on in the music industry that we don't know about. Producers forcing girls to sleep with them for tracks, etc.

That's how abusers work. I'm not talking about contracts, I'm talking about what goes on behind the scenes with Kim and the r*pist.

Would @AaronJ0seph lie? :huntyga:

You're clearly misinformed :laughga:

Aaron Joseph is Kim's best friend/collaborator/the person that introduced her to him LMAO. Please do your research before spreading lies.

Hold her accountable for her disgusting behavior instead of saying "oh he brainwashed her" nonsense.

no, her reponsse is very evasive, she first say she's not "confortable answering" then that she "doesn't know" if he did anything... like really? you don't know who works in your own music? he does or he doesn't, it's no middle ground he has full producing credits, and if he didn't do anything and claim credits, that should be illegal, it's dishonest and no record contract should allow people having credits in something they didn't worked with at all, you can battle that if you're willing to.

Yep. But this person is doing the most to justify Kim's behavior. Just ignore it.

And you don't think after the Kesha situation they don't have nondisclosure agreements up the a** for artists under his label? Please.

I'm not justifying her behavior and I don't support her music. I'm giving y'all another perspective which would explain why a female artist would defend a r*pist, because of abuse, manipulation, and gaslighting. That's how abusers work.

she clearly didn't because after she said that she regretted it and said that the credits in her music are accurate.

So why are people praising and stanning Doja Cat but hating on Kim Petras when they're both working with Dr Luke?

Why aren't they coming for Saweetie ? Ne-Yo ? kid Laroi ?

Always against a trans woman, always against the same person, always in Kim's face and you'll have some excuses for other artists

I’m sure Kesha would’ve appreciated y’all putting this amount of energy into actually buying her last album :bear:

But I guess a good ol’ witch hunt is way more fun :awkney:

I said it before and I’ll say it again - the hyper focus on Kim while justifying and excusing every other artist currently working with Dr Luke seems very TERFy to me.

Well I think Kim is the only one who outright defended him. But the OP was about Kim, and I personally think she's a victim in all this too. And I'm not excusing anyone either, just discussing the current events as the OP is about Kim and she just released an EP with him.

I just want to see him rot in jail like Weinstein.

Do you think that Doja can get out of her contract? I don't think so. Luke would sue her for lost revenue of albums that she should release under his label and she doesn't have that much money. He earned $26.7million from working on Katy Perry’s first 3 albums.

She may not working with him but he has to be credited on her abums, it's probably part of her contact.

Yes, that’s how contracts work :ally:

hmm it's not really how contracts works, he needs to physically be in the studio and creating, if no, it's illegal and he's taking credit from someone else, this contract needs to be between him and another ghost producer and not between him and Doja.

so who produced these songs?

I'm not "coming" to Doja or something, the whole situation looks strange with the 2 artist.

It wouldn't be his first time. He took songwriting credit for Kelly Clarkson’s “Behind These Hazel Eyes”
