EGOT: How is Gaga most realistically going to get herself there?

Moving in from the snub news, I'm always more optimistic about Gaga being able to achieve an EGOT. Its such a prestigious small group of legends, and she is someone who genuinely could earn each and every one from pure talent alone. (Some people be racking up Emmys and Grammys for weird reasons)

But how do you all think she is most likely to win herself a Tony and an Emmy next? Am still fuming that the Monster Ball on HBO or her Superbowl never won her that Emmy. 

Lets get manifesting, I have no doubt she will achieve it, but it would be iconic if she got in that exclusive lineup whilst it is still a small number. 

 

A few queens that are one award away:

- Frances McDormand, Viola Davis, Jessica Lange, Helen Mirren, Maggie Smith, Kate Winslet, Cher, Julie Andrews, Cynthia Erivo, Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin... 

A few ladies that are halfway there like Gaga:

Adele, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, H. E. R., Catherine Zeta Jones...

Realistically I think the Tony would be the most challenging one to get. She could eventually get an Emmy for a smaller category with all the projects she already does but there’s no way of not looking awards hungry if she were to slide into theater. At least not while she’s young.

She’s already laid the groundwork for theatre by saying in the interview that she’s always wanted to write a musical. She’s always been labelled a “theatre kid” I really don’t think people would immediately jump to “awards *****” just because she wrote a musical. A couple of her concerts are already almost like musicals anyway with slight little narrative plots (“we’re looking for the party” in MB 2.0, and also, Enigma).

honestly at this point who cares if it looks as if Gaga is "awards hungry" - the fact she's so multi-faceted and talented is enough of an excuse for her to dive into new different projects. It literally makes sense as a natural evolution for her as an artist to go into theatre, I mean the woman has literally been called "too" theatrical throughout her entire career so it would make sense to just capitalise on that. it's not her fault that she's 100% THAT b*tch.

Why is everyone so eager for her to become an EGOT? Like she’s not even 20 years into her career but y’all act like she’s running out of time or something. 

Sometimes I get the feeling people like this don’t really even care about the recognition or the award, they just want the bragging rights that come with a prestigious win. Gaga’s not some underdog who needs to prove herself lol. If she never won another award in her life, she’d still have far more than a lot of other stars.

I could see it for her eventually. Who cares about her looking "awards hungry." If she has the desire and opportunity to be involved in a good project she should most definitely go for it. Life is short.

We all know she is doing theatre at some point. I think she would get an EGOT status in the future, but it will take a long time. It's no race, she is still learning. Slowly but surely, and passion for discipline

Well, that would require her concerts to actually be filmed. And we've seen how that turned out with the last three tours.

I just watched her Actors on Actors last night with Lin Manuel Miranda and not only did they have great chemistry while talking about acting and music (so she made a great industry connection there) but she also told him that she would love to write music for musicals and that she even has an idea for a musical. She's already sowing her seeds in the Broadway department. She's dreamt of being on Broadway for years, and we know how she always achieves her dreams. Quite honestly, I could easily see her landing a role on Broadway now if she wanted to. I'm sure she's biding her time and waiting for the right opportunity and time. And if she doesn't win a Tony for performing, it will be for songwriting
