BiblicalS3NSE 187
Hey guys! I know this has been done to DEATH but hear me out, BTW is her BEST album and deserved better than that messy rollout we got. So I'm going to use the same singles released BUT in a way that makes sense and could've made the era last longer. Here we go... 1. BTW- Undoubtedly the most ambitious single of her career, this deserved to be the lead. We all know this went #1 instantly due to the hype, wouldn't have worked as a later single. Minimal promo for it because she was popular enough. 2. YOU AND I- This release would shock EVERYONE! Becomes the 2nd single in late April 2011. Would keep people talking and viewing her in awe. Peaks at #2 in the BBH100. Becomes the song of the summer! Promo Single(s): 1. JUDAS- Peaks at #6 due to hype. 2. HAIR- Peaks #12 Album Release: May 23 2011 3. JUDAS- This track pulls a Dark Horse and becomes 3rd single in late July 2011. Becomes a hit WW, especially after the previous 2 singles being so unorthodox. Peak #6. Performed with YAI at the VMAs. 4. MTN- Released in November 2011 as the 4th single, this track is perfect for fall/winter due to its melancholy nature. Peaks at #17 in BBH100 and does moderately well WW. 5. Edge of Glory- It is February 2012, Gaga is at the Grammys and performs this track in a mournful way. She had already performed it in NYE but eventually is released as the 5th and final single of the era, true to the message of the song. At first it seems it would flop. But because she promotes it and is used to advertise the tour, it finally reached the top 10 in May 2012 and peaks at #6 in a positive and successful end to the era! What you guys think? 27monster27 13,194
Release the second single in May and the third in August, but other than that this is one of the more unique ones that I've seen. EDIT: The only time I would do late April (Not mid) is if it were The Edge of Glory, and the goal was to get back to back number one debuts. he/him/his
Lucas 27,135
Honestly BTW and TF/M are the only Gaga albums with good rollouts imo. The only thing I'd change about BTW is it not being a visual album. It was even more rare than today back then and could've been a game changer
Anderson123 38,467
I'd have loved to see music videos for Scheiße, Government Hooker and Heavy Metal Lover (official or promotional) but other than that I like the way it is. Judas is so good and it's pretty much Bad Romance 2.0 but the potential Scheiße had... idk.

The reason I would release You And I pre-album (apart from shocking the GP) is because it wouldn't have done well as a later single either. It would either have to be a dual release with another song, basically US/EU split. YAI doesn't appeal much to European or Latin America audiences but because it is released before the album and at the height of her fame, it would garner curiosity WW to huge numbers. Judas released afterwards to appease them and being her typical dance-pop. Matt. 6:
Blown Away 5,218
I'd go with BTW as the lead, performing it at the Grammy's and a show or two. It goes #1 for 6 weeks and fizzles out quickly after, with it being pulled from radio the moment it leaves the top 10 in favor of the second single. TEOG becomes the second single in April. This is the main single of the era that will receive the most promotion. It's performed around all the world and will play the key role in the album's Grammy campaign. It becomes her fourth #1 for two weeks. Judas and Hair serve as the promo singles in the first 2 weeks of May. Next MTN becomes the third single in early July. She performs it around the world and closes the VMA's with it. It peaks at #8. In early October Hair follows as the fourth single. This song is promoted a lot in the US to draw attention to the album during the voting period for the Grammy's. It also peaks at #6. Heavy Metal Lover becomes the fifth single at the start of the new year. It's kicked off by the premiere of its video on New Years Eve and its live performance. It peaks at #10. Scheiße is released as the sixth single on Europe in early March while You And I serves as the sixth single elsewhere. You and I is performed in a medley with TEOG on the Grammy's, ensuring it goes top 10 for a month. To celebrate the one year anniversary of the album and to kick off the tour, the deluxe edition of the album is released. Fashion Of His Love is released as a single, but isn't promoted. A Judas MV is released as a surprise in August, and one for Bloody Mary in October. They shipped it, but it got shipped back
Oregano 103
It would've gone smoother if Adele hadn't release
Kulture Kiari 3,433
Little Managers, here we go. That BTW promo was everything. I was in high school when this came out, and even straights were into the promo. (Heck, some straights say that BTW single was the best promo to be used for the NBA). Everything was iconic. If you were experiencing this era in person, it was lit. Having to wait at 2am for Gaga to release the return of "Gagavision". Being a worker at McDonalds and hiding in the freezer with my LG wannabe iphone Voyager, because you get a random tweet that Lady Gaga was going to release her TEOG music video, exclusively on American Idol, only to have Laurien Gibson to bash it a few moments later. That's just the drama behind the promo. The actual promo: Having subways be wrapped with BTW pics. The two album covers. The way she promoted the fudge out of this album. We are talking about The Grammys. SNL. International shows. Even promoting it with Cher while wearing a meat dress. The song choices that were questionable, but still, for some reason, made it make sense. And finally, the icing on the cake. Marry The Night. Let's forget about the promo the fans did, and if you're an OG fan, you'll know, Buy Marry The Night on iTunes. But the fact that she brought her og dancers from the fame era, and gave us an inside scoop, of what we now know was a miscarriage. And don't get me started with the BTW Tour. This era was everything. "LEAVE BORN THIS WAY ERA ALONE!" -Chris Crocker.
