People here in the UK already dislike Charles and don't want him to be king. The general consensus is that they should pass it straight to Will and Kate if they wanted the monarchy to remain in any way popular. Camilla has the reputation of the home wrecker but I feel like people are mostly indifferent to her, however making her queen consort instead of princess consort feels like a kick to Diana. Add that to the Harry / Andrew business over the past few years, it's all just a bit of a mess. 

That's what I gather from living in the UK, I don't take too much interest in the royals. Idk whether being Queen consort over Princess consort gives Camilla any actual additional power. 

I wish we could abolish it all, personally. Its ridiculous and outdated.

Camilla should be left alone (leave Britney alone vibes) , most hate against her is sexist. Please don’t use Netflix and The Sun as your only source. And people not from the uk or the commonwealth wishing an end to the British monarchy is weird to me… I’m not commenting to change your country’s system?

I certainly hope so. But, to be fair, the only reason Camilla ever wasn't going to be "Queen" was because Charles divorced and remarried. And that's some bullshit.

It was so long ago! Many of us weren't even alive at the time. It seems really unfair that she's never been able to move past this. Reminds me of how so many people blame Yoko Ono for the Beatles splitting up instead if John Lennon or the other members of the band. It just reeks of sexism to me, sorry.
