If you had a control over Chromatica and it's Era what would you have done?

Not give up on it and act like it doesn't exist and make a good portion of my fans believe that I barely have any interest for pop music anymore :)

edit: yes the shade is deserved!

It really isn't and honestly you'd think after two years y'all would have abandoned this "she doesn't care" narrative when she's one of the hardest working women in the business :huntyga:

The plans for this one album got f*cked and she didn't want to deliver a thrown together watered down version of her original vision for it in the middle of a global pandemic where the health of herself, her loved ones, her coworkers, and her fans could have been put at risk all in the name of entertainment.

How that equates to her "not caring" is BEYOND ME. Especially when we know what she WAS planning before covid was a thing. They literally pushed the release date back by a month hoping covid was a short lived thing and they could follow through with plans :rip:

Like ffs give it a rest.

The way this era was completely ABANDONED and not even given the deceny of providing fans with closure with a final message, a video, a concert special, a tour update....NOTHING

Even WITH COVID, I still think they could have done A LOT more, but then again...I don't think Gaga was particularly motivated to do any EXTRA promo than what her label required

The era would have started off with Alice as the lead single...Stupid Love is a stupid song and felt flat as this was supposed to be her BIG pop comeback since ARTPOP

The 2nd single would have remained ROM and that era, video, awards, etc was totally fine

The 3rd single would have remained 911, but honestly I would have changed the video as it doesn't quite fit the "Chromatica" theme she was starting to develop and it goes left field...then again...it was more of the directors vision

A 4th single would have been perfect for Sour Candy, even though I personally don't care for the song. It would have done numbers and possibly given Gaga a 2nd #1 for the era

a 5th and final signal would have been great for Enigma to close out the era

Gaga also could have done a "Live from Chromatica" concert special that allows her to build a set ala BTWB and really make use of the scale of the planet and it's different regions for different acts of songs. Would have been a great compromise for the uncertainty of when live concerts will be able to safely resume again. Holding on to fans money and not providing any updates in over a year is unacceptable

Overall, the music is still there...we have that, but the behind the scenes neglect and overall dismisal of the album was very disheartening and the Dawn of Chromatica album doesn't count...that was a passion project for Bloodpop and his friends to "remix" the album FOR Gaga...Gaga barely said 2 words about it the entire time. Let's not pretend...

StressedOut

Alice lead single with whacked out music video

A music video for Sour Candy with BLACKPINK with some insane choreo and visuals

And then probably just close out the era with dawn of chromatica & worldwide livestream concert, and sashay into HOG era

She did really good with ROM, 911, and VMAs already, these are just personal wishes/adjustments to the era that would have been neat (to me)

Edit: honestly she could still do the concert as a livestream and I'd tune in LMAO

Yeah she's been one of the hardest working but when it comes to pop music you can't deny she showed way less interest than her other projects?

Yeah the plans were ruined, but all other pop stars out there fought to give life to their music through live streams... Gaga? No.

Again about her not caring as much about music, girl can go outside to film ads and movies with dozens of people, she can perform the jazz show and even announce new dates, but no words about Enigma/Chromatica tour

I’d make her direct a feature length movie for the album.

Not to mention like a million thousand performances with the most extravagant costumes ever.

Oh and yeah a videogame sounds nice too.

And maybe a theme park.

Actually yeah that would be amazing. Imagine like a Lady Gaga RPG with Bayonetta style set on Chromatica with warring tribes and mythos behind it :bradley:

I want to write a story now :bradley:

If this had been said about Joanne or ARTPOP, you'd be banned right now :sis:

Different production on longer songs for me please  it's a crime that a 16 track album comes in at 40 minutes. Especially with some of the best lyricism of her career.

For the era, I would have had her throw a virtual concert. Not exactly ground breaking but Chromatica deserved to live in motion and 'rona stole that from her

Alice as lead single with sexy AF MV

Rain on me as second single with same MV close to album release

Not release Sour Candy as a promo single

Include Free Woman leaked demo instead of album version

Slightly longer track lengths for Sour Candy and Babylon

Replace Fun tonight, Enigma and Plastic doll with better tracks (just not a huge fan of these)

Keep 911 as third single with C2 intro

Release Babylon Haus Labs as bonus track

Still blows my mind that they did nothing with sour candy. That collab clearly only existed because of the ridiculous potential blinks plus monsters had to create a smash hit (lets be honest, Gaga never even knew who they were before it)

Yet they decided to awkwardly release it 1 day before the album so it got minimum tracking days, no MV, not even a lyric video until weeks later, no promo images, no performances. Insanity!

I can almost guarantee she knew about Blackpink. She's shown so much love to K-Pop and had Crayon Pop open for artRave. I wouldn't have even known about the genre until much later because Gaga's tour introduced me to it. It would be next to impossible to be within the pop industry and to have not heard of them.
