Scheiße should really have been a single

I know it’s not an unpopular opinion by any means, but honestly I still think Scheiße should have been a single and it was such a missed chance. I mean it’s just such a great song with such a cool message and it could have had an amazing video, probably something like the part in the FAME commercial in which the song was used.

Also I think it was meant to be a single along with Heavy Metal Lover, but it didn’t happen. I also thought it was so surprising when after years of last performing the song at the BTWB, suddenly she opened Coachella in 2017 in the Joanne era with Scheiße, out of all songs. And it’s been on every single setlist since then (Joanne World Tour and Enigma).

Agreed?

I'm sure she also wanted it as a single. I remembered a fan asked Gaga what the next single was and her response was "You better learn German" or something like that.

It's probably my favourite Gaga song ever, and I would kill for it to have had a music video. A real one, even though the Fame perfume commercial was also incredible. I love the song but it wouldn't have been successful as a single due to the German gibberish. It's a bit avant-garde for pop radio in 2011, and it's status as a fan favorite and a staple in her live shows is satisfying enough for me.

Yes, best Gaga song ever. I think I'd have loved to see this being picked as single instead of Judas.

And I keep saying Sour Candy is the biggest waste of a single since Scheiße.

I wish ! I don’t think it woulda been a hit tho people were sick of her by the end of the btw era and this song has an “unusual” title, gibberish, and frankly strange mixing in the choruses (just like hair) where it’s hard to discern what’s she’s actually saying. I think ppl woulda been like tf is this? (Cause they’re basic obviously )

definitely, just imagine the music video... the whole album should've been a visual album and I'll forever have a burning open wound from it never happening

Venus, Scheiße and Sour Candy were all deserving of Music Videos as proper singles but they all got basically thrown in the trash :messga:

No. I love it, but the talkytalky goes on too long.

The melody of the talky talk is the same as the bridge in Judas & I believe they are both the same song but She and Redone had 2 different ideas for lyrics & theme.

If they had combined the songs somehow, like putting more lyrics or more of a dynamic change to the instrumental then sure.

As it stands it has very few lyrics and alot of talking. Sonically it's incredible but that's due to the buzzing swirling bass & laser cutter synth.

Even if it had a feature to fill out the talking & beef out the lyrics

I thinkthe singles we got were fine, the order was questionable(who releases TEOG when that's a final single material) but scheisse and hair were cute promo singles.

I don’t get why everyone wanted Heavy Metal Lover as a single. Its more of a fan favorite and doubt it would’ve been a hit as a single or resonated with the GP.

And Sheiße would have?

Gaga herself made the song important from day one. :ohwell:

It was the closer of the BTWB (before the encore) with killer choreography (probably best choreography of all BTW era.

She performed it whilst promoting the album at various events.

It's always been THE favourite with single potential. :ohwell:

She reintroduced it during Coachella and Joanne Tour + recently Enigma.

Kind regards
