Have other, more reliable sources emerged since to convince everyone that it’s definitely happening? Because if it’s still nothing more than a rumour then I think we should clear it up right now. Even as a fan I’m tired of the stans blaming Gaga for things neither herself nor her team ever said was happening. I can only imagine how Gaga feels about that at this point. 2School4Cool 6,065 Posted January 26, 2022 Share Posted January 26, 2022 I have no idea if the Top Gun theme will ever be released or if it actually came to fruition, but my guess is she at least wrote a song for the movie. 2 years ago Rob Thomas told a story at a show about two movies where he wrote the theme song and then they went with someone else, and in this clip (1 minute in) he says he wrote the Top Gun song but they went with Gaga instead. When I saw this video a couple of years ago I brushed it off thinking he was making a joke, like saying “they went with [insert name of global superstar] instead,” but now with these rumors going around I feel like he was telling the truth.
