She did release things without any promotion (such as Cake), but they weren't on albums and they weren't released as singles. Is that what you mean?

I really think it's going to be a summer release. I get this weird feeling that she is having trouble writing songs that are sure-fire hits in her mind.

I guess you can call it writer's block or blockade.

Nope, like full albums and official stuff but that's just wishful thinking for no stressful eras and stuff. I do enjoy those though :)

Creative problems (like artist's block or writer's block) arise when one is faced with a task which seems too big, the artist is under too much pressure so she is in fear because she might not do things well. This creates stress which stops the flowing of those creative juices.

She just needs to relax some.

BTW, if she only has trouble CHOOSING the songs, does that mean most of them are already done?

Fans bought the album. The single sales after the album were from the public, not the fans...
