Do they at least filter that out for that? This is the problem with how media is reporting though isn't it, its frustrating. I'm the UK they announce the deaths on the news each day. Yeah def misleading However its definitely overwhelming hospitals despite any over reporting. At least in my Country it is. Hospitals are totally full and they are turning away non critical life threatned patients. Surgeries even important ones like cancer are once again post poned Our hospitals aren't overwhelmed because of covid patients they're overwhelmed because of staff being off isolating, which is still an issue but a much better issue than ICU and things being full. We also have some postponements for surgeries but not for major ones thank god. My step father is a paramedic and he hasn't taken someone to the hospital with covid in 11 months. Our vaccination rate is also still really high but somehow we are getting a lot of hospitalizations and overwhelmed ERs and ICUs Maybe our spare medical capacity was already tighter than the UKs to begin with Id imagine the fact that we kept our first 3 waves more under control than most Countries is probably also working against us now too as natural infections didnt get most people Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Damon 10,930 Posted January 8, 2022 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Argentinian here, the number of cases is getting higher and higher everyday, i also happen to have covid for the first time right now got vaccinated months ago so it feels like a mild flu we also have a great percentage of people who is vaccinated, so the hospitalization and death rates are the lowest we've had since it started, so go get yours asap ... and now i just sit in silence. The important thing to remember is that the situation is still the same. Our health care system is still on the brink of collapse.
