Nicole invested her own money ($150K) in reunion while Robin Antin borrowed and spent  $600K from Livenation even before girls agreed for reunion. Robin wanted to launch Pussycat Dolls Next Generation and get rid of original dolls. 
Nicole got them perfomance in X Factor because she was judge there, Pussycat Dolls also had the same managment agency that represented Nicole's solo career so I think Nicole got it.

Yeah, I feel like people are far too quick to jump at Nicole. Like you said, she probably invested the most into the reunion, even compared to Antin. She used her own connections and money. 
 

Also she gave away her solo work for the second album. And the same thing probably happened with React (& Genetics).

Nah nah nah, heres the thing. Yes, Nicole has invested a lot of herself in the project sure. But from the jump, through her own narcissism, she made sure she was the center. Its not that the other girls could not have contributed or built a career for themselves through the group, its that Nicole did not allow for that to happen and was such a raging dou*chebag. The Pussycat Dolls as a brand/show existed long before she ever invested into it.

She knew/knows deep down that she has zero chance of a solo career. She does not have that "x" factor, ironically, on her own to carry a successful and relevant pop career. She NEEDS the group as much as she forcibly made them need her. Her investment in PCD was a selfish act where she treated her groupmates like pawns for her to experience a successful career that she knew she could not attain otherwise.

Shes beautiful and talented but shes honestly just awful.

It wasn't Nicole fault, Robin built this group this way.
Nicole was the only one who was signed as a signer. Other girls were signed as dancers - they were dancers in music videos of other artists before they joined Pussycat Dolls, they weren't vocalists.

39:00  Kimberly says they were always told they are replaceable, it it wasn't positive environment and that PCD was supposed to be brand with Nicole as singer and dancers who can be replaceable.
