rinasawachanta 3,076 Posted January 7, 2022 Share Posted January 7, 2022 This idea has been brewing in me forever, I think since the exact moment I first heard the origin of the name "Gaga" (after Radio Gaga, the Queen song). But it was only after listening to The Weeknd's new album that it took full form. I would really love for Gaga to make an album centered around the radio/broadcast concept. I know it would be very difficult since it was just done by The Weeknd and the comparisons would be obvious. But I imagine a non-stop album, with radio hits and more introspective tracks (with a speaking voice ala Madonna's Erotica). I think Gaga could show off her vocal skills as well as her beautiful speaking voice. And that she could combine more "hit songs" with more experimental tracks. It could even be called "Radio Gaga", just like that. I think it could be very interesting. I really lament that The Weeknd came up with the idea earlier haha. What do you guys think? Radio Gaga would be a terrible name for an album because it's usually the name of a song on the album, and unless she's going to cover Radio Gaga, it wouldn't work. I wouldn't mind having an LG cover performance of Radio Gaga. It would be , tbh, to perform the song that inspired the stage name. But a performance isn't the same as a studio recording. I don't want her to end up becoming a middle aged woman desperately clinging to her youth and making herself look like a fool like what Madonna does (I love Madonna but she is just embarrassing these days). Or even Katy Perry, she has not matured musically at all since the beginning of her career and she is just embarassing at this point, singing generic pop songs like she did when she was 25. I don't think her career going forward should ever be about trying to stay relevant on the charts and I don't think she cares about that either so people wishing for her to make a bubblegum pop record or whatever are going to be very disappointed IMO.
