wising some people would realize while this administration is least from the best it was either that or autocracy. As Biden and Obama have said “don’t compare me to the almighty compare me to the alternative”

It infuriates me how the GOP continues to completely dismiss the insurrection.

It infuriates me that violent insurrectionists are serving shorter sentences than many people convicted of selling marijuana.

I hope the findings of the investigative panel make a difference, but I fully expect them to just dismiss it as "fake news," as they do everything else.

And just last night, Trump encouraged his supporters to "rise up" against vaccine mandates.

Hmm just because Trump was atrocious doesn’t mean that they get to be applauded for being less atrocious. Mediocre philosophy.

Yes it does.

The UK celebrates genocidal racist alcoholic Winston Churchill for this very reason.

Did she just compare the Capitol Riot to the attacks on Pearl Harbor and September 11th? :awkney:

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Yeah. I get what she was saying (all examples of attacks on our democracy) but that comment is just giving more fuel for the other side to say democrats are blowing it out of proportion.

The Hamilton performance was also a choice.

one of them is failing the expectations that many people had by not being as progressive and fighting the way they claimed while the other incited an insurrection against the congress and US, i’ll always  applaud meodicore politicians who at the very least defend democracy and all it represents.

THIS is the problem with the messaging about Jan 6. It’s hard for people to swallow the Jan 6 being a disaster when it’s put on a pedestal alongside events in which thousands of innocent Americans died.

It’s a Democratic disaster, that’s for sure, but why try to turn something already powerful and tragic into something more catastrophic? Oh wait….I forgot, we’re already two years into something else treated just the same

When I see this, I see why Biden and Harris are among the most unpopular presidents and vice presidents in modern American history.

They really just don't have it in them, all talk and no action. And even the talk isn't that good or strong.

Sad state of affairs all around, including what happened a year ago today.
