Imo Katy has the better stage production and story/concept over Enigma. It just comes across as a half baked idea now in retrospect.

girl. say what you will about her outfits but production and lighting for Enigma are incredible

For Vegas I’d still pick Play. Lighting wise, Enigma looks like a lot of other shows… blues, purple, some neon, but overall a darker theme. I’m not choosing it because it’s a visually appealing show- whatsoever. But at the end of the day, if I could pick two shows to see, both would be at the top of my list.

I agree though, her lighting designer/programmer did a great job overall with the timing and cues.

She can’t be serious.  They sat around a table to brainstorm ideas and came up with a giant toilet and singing ****.  Not cute, no ground breaking, utter ridiculous.  I won’t be bothering to go see this.  Is this what we have come to in order to go viral and get attention.  Smh

As if dancing sharks weren't bad enough, we now have a singing turd...

The tackiness never stops with her :billie:

Still not as cringe as some of the stuff in Enigma!

Honestly both are meant to be kitsch and ridiculous at points, the whole point is to be ridiculous or too cute etc. :)

But you see I think that's where Enigma's primary problem is: some of its campier moments were designed to of course be campy but most of them aren't delivered in a tongue in cheek way at all. She plays so many of those moments completely straight as if they're meant to be serious and that's what makes it so difficult to watch in places. Play at least invites the audience to be in on the camp.
