Ahead of her Vegas residency, a newly released song, and confirmation that she already has "a big chunk of songs" written, what direction do you want Katy Perry to go for KP6?

Sonically, thematically, ...

Do you want her to dive more into the Witness concept? Stick to uplifting pop? Go dArK?

I just want interesting beats. Like thats it

I feel like Katy has a tendency to make basic sounding songs when it comes to production

That being said I feel like Witness (album) had strong production

I'd like to get a dark pop album from her. I love Prism but I will always wonder why the hell she described this album as dark pop lmao

She should deliver a concept album, like electra heart— as in, full character and everything.
That way she can change it up without changing "Katy Perry"

katy is honestly one of the few pop artists that i could see being able to do this :firega: i’d love for her to create a character/concept album with her flair to it

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I want her to do more ballad-focused work. Her habit of making a ballad whenever left completely to her own devices speaks for itself. It's clear that appealing to the kiddie market is no longer profitable for her so it's time she just stopped the immature imagery and sound and matured her music. Acoustic guitar focused dealing with topics of being engaged, motherhood, mental health, spiritual development, in the vein of The One That Got Away, Not Like The Movies, Into Me You See, Never Worn White, Only Love and What Makes A Woman. If she wants to mix it with slightly more uptempo stuff, stick with more adult takes on pop like Pearl, Walking On Air, Chained To The Rhythm and Never Really Over. It's going to be hard for her to appeal to adults after all this time but it's got to happen eventually if she wants to stand any chance of maintaining a fanbase.

She did say it was going to be darker until she changed her mind and decided to "let the light in" which became a buzz-phrase to promote the album. I say it was totally the result of label interference. They probably thought the songs were too bitter and polarising and thought the public only wanted happy bubblegum Katy as that style gave her her biggest hits so they ordered her to have a more fun take on things. I think that would explain why Katy was crying in that interview she gave for Witness where she said she doesn't want to be Katy Perry anymore. I think the strain of being who her label want her to be after she became their golden goose was getting to her.
