Hospitalisations is the bigger concern.  It’s people having to wait for treatment for covid or other illnesses that is a big factor in the direct and indirect deaths.

Yeah, there’s currently a huge drive to get everyone a booster by the end of the year.  Although when I booked mine they only had early January available

I know three people who currently have covid and they’re all double vaccinated, I feel like at this point it’s inevitable everyone is gonna catch covid at some point just like the common cold.

You need booster shot for Omicron to be safe, that is the latest update on the new variant. Each variant is just keep mutating and got their own threats. But the vaxxed that contracted it, at least it won't be a deadly virus anymore. That much is known.

But yes, at this point we all know Covid shot will be another annual flu shot. So we will have to get both shots each year.

I don't care about that. I care about the death rates because that tells us how bad the surge was. Daily numbers are scare tactic. Stop allowing unvaxed to receive treatment if you're worried about the system getting overload

Not that I can get my booster yet, but I'm considering waiting to get mine until they have updated the vaccines so that they're stronger to fight against the new variant.
