Having that said, I'm glad to see Adele being behind both Gaga & Beyonce, people love to bring her up when it comes to vocal talent for some reason.

maybe because her voice is wonderful?

Yes but people like to act she's the best vocalist of all time :neyde:

Jessie J above Beyonce and Gaga :air:

Belting =/= good vocals. People need to realise that nuance is harder than belting.

Adele is not a better vocalist than Beyoncé and Gaga. She has a beautiful and unique voice.

Gaga ranked #1 in my heart  I'm not seeing anyone from that list using the range of their voices as much as Gaga, and I think versatility is a box you need to check to be considered a great vocalist.

Gaga’s vocal talent was perhaps part of her ‘shock value’. Most naysayers did not expect this multi-faceted performer to blow them away with her vocals, when she popularized herself for other reasons during the start of her career as this generation’s “Madonna.” You didn’t expect a vocalist, who could belt out Star Spangled Banner, Bang Bang, Edge Of Glory, Million Reasons, Till It Happens To You – the way she did, until she went out and did it. And she totally blew everyone away with it. :applause:

The top 10:

1. Amy Winehouse

2. Yolanda Adams

3. Joss Stone

4. Jennifer Hudson

5. Natasha Bedingfield

6. Jessie J

7. Beyoncé

8. Lady Gaga

9. Adele

10. Christina Aguilera

No shade to anyone, but I'll throw this in. Here are two phrases.

1. Favourite singer

2 Best vocalist

The first one means something. The second, imo, does not, or is of no consequence anyway.

I knew she had pipes since the day she opened her mouth and it got recorded and put out on youtube.

Like, it was evident. Even with Just Dance, it was evident.

Honestly it wasn't evident at all to most people until her Oscars performance of The Sound of Music. The GP thought she was a random pop bitch since none of the songs on The Fame really require a vocal range and she often intentionally sings in an 'ugly' way like the robotic voice on PokerFace. There was even some prominent reviewer who said her vocals are like Gwen Stefanis (lmao) and another who said SHE DOESN'T HAVE VOCAL ABILITY, lmao. I'd like to see those people's faces now.

I love Gaga but in the The Fame era, she really didn't give any indication she was a serious vocalist unless you were a fan and watched her live performances on YouTube.

Jessie J needs to get the hell out of that top 10. I agree she is an incredible vocalist, but her ad libs are even worse than Christina’s.

I don't think she's good tbh she tries way too hard. I don't see how she belongs in a Top 10 list, but the list is ****. Ariana Grande or Miley Cyrus are both miles ahead of Natasha Bedingfield or Jessie J....

My problem with Jessie J's voice is the same as with Christina's: they both seem so in love with their own voices... I can't stand those ad-libs they do.

As for Adele... Yeah, she has a powerful voice but she lacks technique... That's why she had problems with her voice every other day when she went on tour. On the other hand, Gaga has a perfect control of her voice, so I think it's natural she's higher in that list.

Reading the reasoning makes sense. Amy is #1 for her artistry in being a vocalist not just pure raw ability and talent. Makes sense imo to rank like that
