The Kunts’ ‘Boris Johnson Is STILL A F****** C***’ has landed at Number Five in the Christmas midweek chart in the UK.

Currently in the lead for Christmas Number One is LadBaby and their Ed Sheeran and Elton John-featuring track ‘Sausage Rolls For Everyone’. Sheeran and John are also in the Number Two spot with their own collab ‘Merry Christmas’. If LadBaby take the top spot again, it will be their fourth consecutive Christmas Number One. 

The chart-topper will be announced on Christmas Eve on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart.

8 out of the top 10 Christmas songs? Streaming has a lot to answer for. I remember when it was revealed that a big reason why Ellie Goulding went to #1 in 2019 was because her song was featured on so many Amazon Christmas playlists and whenever anyone used an Alexa device and asked to play Christmas music, that song would get featured and go towards the official chart. Christmas songs being this popular is a little bogus to me, basically. And that LadBaby thing really has to stop. I know all the profits go to charity but still. I'd be fine with it if it was a different artist going to #1 every year with the same kinda song but not the same one being a one trick pony over and over. And I'm shocked that Adele is completely out the top 10. Of course she'll probably be back the very next week but still.

Why should charts not reflect what is genuinely being listened to just because its seasonal?
