I did say he was good in it. Okay I’ll say more. He does a good job, first conveying a very taciturn, mostly quiet guy, haunted by something we aren’t aware of at the time, then as he gets more opportunities coming his way, we see him deploying his natural charm very effectively. We believe him through his rise and his fall.  The last scene is heartbreaking and he really sells his character’s state of mind in that scene. However, I would also say that he seems a little too old for this role of an up and coming who is still finding himself.

I just saw it and YASSS she was so mysterious and old-hollywood like  Such a powerful, understated character

This movie really is a new classic. Loved it so much!
